Instructions

    • 1

Install any software that came with your MP3 player. The included software is how your MP3 player will communicate with your computer and how you will transfer audio files onto your player.

    • 2

Import any music you would like to put on your MP3 player into the player's software program. In most cases, you will be prompted to import all of the audio files on your computer into the program when you install it. If not, you can transfer files by dragging and dropping them into the program, or by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Import."

Connect your MP3 player to your computer. MP3 players connect to your computer's USB port either by using a cable that was included with the player, or in some cases by directly plugging into the computer.

    • 4

Sync your MP3 player with your MP3 player software. Most programs will have a "Sync" button allowing you to start the transferring process. Most software will also allow you to select what songs, artists or playlists you would like to put on your MP3 player.
