How to Change My MSN Account Information

You can change your MSN account information in a few steps.

Changing your MSN account information can become a frustrating task -- not because it's complex, but because you may not be able to find the exact information you're looking for. This is the case for many MSN users who want to change the alternate e-mail address for their MSN Hotmail account. To access this information and change it, you will need to log in through MSN Account Services.

Instructions

1. Access the MSN Account Information page.

2. Enter your MSN user name in the "Windows Live ID" text field (for example: [e-mail]). Enter your MSN password in the "Password" text field and click the "Sign In" button. Once logged in, your account information page displays.

3. Click on the "Registered Information" link to change your occupation, home location, work location, name or birthdate.

4. Change your "Alternate e-mail address" by clicking on the "Change" link adjacent to it.

5. Change your password or security-related information by clicking on the "Change" link that corresponds to the item you wish to change.

6. Click on the "Sign out" link when you are finished.
