How to Airbrush Stuff on Jeans

You can decorate your plain jeans.

Jeans are often our comfort clothes. We pull them on after work, put them on when we have days off and generally lounge around in them. To make our favorites more fashionable, or more personal, we might choose to decorate them. Using a process of airbrushing, you can paint stuff on any jeans from your closet.

Things You'll Need

• Airbrush gun or fabric blow pen
• Fabric Paint
• Stencil or forms
• Iron

Instructions

1. Pick the design you want on your jeans and the location. Purchase or cut out the letters, shape or form you desire and place it on your jeans where you want the design to be.

2. Fill your airbrush gun or fabric blow gun with the color fabric paint you desire. Be sure the apparatus is clean or new before using.

3. Spray or blow your fabric paint over your form or design. Spray left to right in a swinging motion until the paint covers the area surrounding your design.

4. Remove your design from the fabric leaving the surrounding paint undisturbed. Lift it straight up for best result. Allow the paint to dry.

5. Iron over your paint with a hot iron to set in the design. Set the iron to medium to avoid scorching.

Tips & Warnings

• Clean your airbrush gun or fabric blow gun immediately after use. Follow the manufacturer's directions for cleaning.

• Using regular paint instead of fabric paint will cause your design to peel off over time. Be sure to purchase paint specifically made for fabric.
