NBA 2K7 for XBox 360 utilizes the Xbox's multi-analog stick controller, allowing you to use one of the sticks to shoot and dunk. A fancy dunk is a special move. It could be a twirl in the middle of the dunk or some another type of motion; it depends on the player. Players who have the ability to fancy dunk have different types. It's important to note that not all players can fancy dunk---it depends on their dunk rating.

Approach the basket with the ball. As you get closer, press and hold the "R1" button to begin running.

Release the "R1" button beneath the goal. Immediately push your shot stick to the left to perform a fancy dunk. The shot stick is the right-analog stick on your XBox 360 controller.

Watch the fancy dunk. If your player does not do a fancy dunk, he is not capable. Not all players are capable of performing fancy dunks. In this situation, a regular dunk is performed.

Pressing the shot stick "Up" performs a two-handed dunk. This dunk has a higher success rate than a fancy dunk. Pressing the shot stick to the right performs a power dunk if the player is capable.
