Getting your GED report will enable you enroll in college and show people that you are working hard to move up in the world.

You took your GED and now you need a copy of it. But where do you get one from? Luckily, there are a few different options for tracking down your GED test transcripts.

Instructions

    • 1

Look up the GED testing site where you took your test. The American Council on Education (ACE) has a feature where you can search for your testing site by Zip code. If you were active duty military or serving overseas at the time you took your test, you will need to make a transcript request from a company called Prometric.

Contact your GED test center directly. Make sure to call the center before going there to make sure they have a copy of your test report. When calling, be prepared to give them your name and the date you took the test.

    • 3

Contact your state's Department of Education. They will usually have your GED transcripts and diploma on file. If the Department of Education does not keep your transcripts, they will forward your request or contact you to let you know how to obtain your GED report.
