Instructions for How to Crochet Carnation Flowers

Instructions for How to Crochet Carnation Flowers thumbnail
You can use yarn to crochet carnations.

You're not limited to making afghans, scarves or beanies when you crochet. Using some different techniques, you can crochet a carnation. You need to know how to crochet single crochet and double crochet stitches, and you should know how to crochet rounds. So you don't lose track of where you are as you're making your carnation, mark the beginning of each round with a stitch marker. As you crochet each successive round, you double the number of stitches, which gives your carnation its characteristic wavy petals.
