How to Burn on Rewritable CDs
A rewritable CD, also known as a CD-RW, allows you to burn and remove files to the CD. CD-RW discs are more convenient than the standard CD-R discs because CD-R discs only allow you to burn files to the CD once. You can easily burn files on a rewritable CD using the disc burning utility that comes with your operating system.
Instructions
-
-
1
Insert the rewritable CD into the CD-ROM drive of your computer.
-
2
Open the CD-RW folder by clicking "Start" and then "My Computer." Double-click the CD-ROM drive located under "Devices with removable storage."
-
-
3
Erase any files that you no longer want on the CD-RW disc if you need to make room for new files. This step is optional and doesn't have to be done if you have enough room on the CD-RW disc. To erase files, click the file and then press the "Delete" key on your keyboard.
-
4
Add any files you want to burn to the rewritable CD. To do this, simply drag the file from its original location into the CD-RW folder.
-
5
Click the "Burn to disc" button located at the top of the window once you've added all of the files you want to burn to the rewritable CD. The files are now burned to your CD-RW.
