How to Wrap a Box With Wrapping Paper

Boxes are wrapped with special paper.

When giving a gift, it is customary to wrap the box in wrapping paper. It adds an element of surprise and is decorative. Wrapping a box requires no special skill but it will take patience. The key is how you fold the creases. If you are careful and pay attention to your folds, you will have a well-wrapped gift.

Things You'll Need

• Wrapping paper
• Scissors
• Tape

Instructions

1. Cut enough wrapping paper from the roll to fit all the way around the box.

2. Place the box in the center of your sheet of wrapping paper and pull the two ends of the paper up and over the box. Fold one under the other and then tape the end on top to the one underneath, while holding the paper tightly around the box.

3. Smooth the paper over one of the open sides of the box. Fold in the edges of the paper on the sides, creasing them carefully to form a triangle shape.

4. Fold the triangular flap of paper down across the side of the box and tape with clear gift tape.

5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 with the other open side.
