How to Hang a Wicker Chair

Things You'll Need
- Overhead beam
- One 4 inch Screw with Swing Lag Hook
- Drill with bit
- Link Chain
- Quick Link
- Egg Shaped wicker chair

Hanging a chair

Find a solid 4-by-6 inch overhead beam with an 8-foot clearance.

Drill a small hole in the beam to prevent the screw from splitting the wood. The hole size should be a couple bits smaller than the size of hangers that you are using.

Screw in the swing lag hook.

Attach two 4-foot (or shorter) chains to the overhead hook. Guide one chain around one arm of the chair, and connect the chain together with a quick link. Do the same with the other chain, but on the other arm.

Hang the chair by hooking the end of the chain up to the lag hook.

Tips & Warnings
If the chain cannot be placed around the rim of the chair, pre-dill a small hole in the chair, and screw in an eye hook. Use a connector hook to connect the chain to the eye hook.
Use weather proof rope instead of a chain for a different look.
