How to Remove Candle Wax From Tapered Candleholders
Tall, elegant taper candles make a striking addition to any setting, but they are prone to dripping beads of wax down their length and onto the candleholders. These holders, in turn, may accumulate wax in the relatively deep, narrow pockets needed to hold the tapers steady. Instead of re-melting the wax and creating more of a mess, place them in the freezer to get the wax out of the candleholders and restore them to pristine condition. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Remove the candle from the holder. Place the candleholder in the freezer. Peel or chip off as much of the wax beforehand, if you like, but it's not necessary to do so.
-
2
Pull the candleholder out of the freezer and upend it; the wax may slide right out.

3
Tap the candleholder firmly against a towel-covered surface (if it's not too fragile for this treatment) to help dislodge any stubborn wax. If the candleholder is too fragile to take a few taps, simply pry out any remaining wax with your fingernail, a dull knife or a pair of needle-nose pliers.
