Want to learn how to make a omelette? Making a delicious omelette at home is not very difficult. All it takes is a few simple ingredients and a little time and effort and you will have a great omelette in no time. Below is a how-to on making an omelette. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of water
  • 1/2 tablespoon of butter
  • 1/4 cup of shredded cheese
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

    • 1

      Start by putting the eggs, the water, and the salt and pepper inside a large mixing bowl and use a whisk to beat them until you have a fluffy mixture.

      Then heat a frying pan to medium heat on a stove, using the butter to coat the bottom of the pan.

      Next, pour the omelette mixture into the pan when the butter is almost melted.

      Then use a spatula to lift the edges of the omelette so the mixture will move to the center and cook evenly.

      When the omelette mixture is almost set, put the cheese on top of it and flip the omelette in half with your spatula. Remove from the pan and serve.

Tips & Warnings

  • Other ingredients, such as ham, sauteed mushrooms and tomato, can be added just before folding the omelette.

  • Cheese and fine herbs, such as fresh parsley, tarragon and chives, can be added to the eggs in the mixing bowl before beating with a fork.
