1
Pick bright colors. The show's team always talks about adding colors to boring wardrobes. Most of the participants have an obsession with black and dark colors in general -- usually the assumption is that these colors are slimming and flattering. However, picking brighter colors to wear with dark suits or wearing brightly colored dresses will make a huge statement and make you more radiant.

2
Watch the length of your clothes. If your tops are looking like dresses, they won't flatter you. If your skirt or dress covers your heels or stretches to accommodate a person who is three times your size -- donate it.

3
Choose straight-cut for your pants. Many women like high-waist or too-tight pants -- neither look good unless you are a Victoria's Secret model. Choosing straight-cut pants, or wide-leg if you are really curvy, will flatter you much more than any skinny jeans.
-
4
Learn about layering. Often, people on the show have a simple top and jeans or shorts. Stacy and Clinton teach how to add layers -- a ruffled shirt under a well-tailored jacket or simple cardigan over a floral-patterned top will look wonderful on anyone.

5
Accessorize. Even the best little black dress falls flat without accessories. Bracelets, belts, purses or earrings are items you can use to show off your character. If you are a vibrant person, you might want to pick brighter and more colorful accessories. If you are a shy person, you might need to choose accessories that make you feel comfortable.
