Freezing milk is extremely easy. There are a few simple steps to follow when freezing milk purchased in an unopened plastic container.

• Unopened plastic container of milk
• Freezer

Instructions

1. Check the temperature of your freezer to ensure that it is functioning properly before storing the milk. Place the unopened plastic container of milk into the back section of the freezer. Clear space around the milk because the milk and the container will expand as the milk changes from a liquid to a solid state.

2. Freeze the milk for up to two months. Some sources recommend only preserving the frozen milk for a month before consuming.

3. Thaw the container of milk in the refrigerator when you wish to consume it. Shake the container well once the milk has thawed. Consume the milk within a few days of thawing.
