How to Deep Clean Tan Leather
Tan leather is a popular material used for anything from car seats to furniture upholstery. Leather, for the most part, is a durable material that, when cared for the right way, will last for many years without deteriorating in appearance or quality. To give a deep cleaning treatment to this light-colored leather, it is important to combine a cleaning element with a conditioning element that will moisturize the leather, and prevent it from cracks or breakage. Dust the leather with a cloth to wipe away loose dirt and buildup.

Pour equal parts of white vinegar and food-grade linseed oil into a bowl. The vinegar will clean, deodorize and disinfect while the oil will nourish the leather.

Dip a cleaning rag into the mixture, then rub over the tan leather surface, leaving a thin layer of the solution on the surface. Repeat until you have cleaned the entire leather surface.

Buff the leather with a fresh cleaning rag, removing the cleaning residue while polishing the leather surface. Repeat until the entire surface has been cleaned.
