How to Burn a Music CD on an iMac
The iMac is line of computers made by Apple. iTunes, a music and video management application, comes standard on the iMac. This makes burning music to CDs an extremely easy task for iMac owners.

Open your iTunes application, which comes standard on Apple computers such as the iMac.

Click "iTunes" in the main menu bar. Scroll down and click "Preferences."

Hit the "Advanced" tab and then click the "Burning" tab below it. Click on the radio button next to "Audio CD." Put a check mark in the box next to "Use Sound Check."

Hit the OK" button.

Click "File" in the main menu bar. Scroll down and click "Add to Library."

Find music on your iMac that you want on your CD. Highlight a song or songs and click open. Click "Music" in the left column to view the music that you uploaded to your iTunes.

Click "File" in the main menu bar. Scroll down and click "New Playlist." The new playlist will appear on the left side under "Playlist." Rename the playlist to anything you want.

Click "Music" in the left column. Find the songs you want on the CD and drag them onto the playlist that you created in Step 7.

Periodically click on the playlist on the left column. Check the bottom of the interface for the total time of the songs on the CD. Keep in mind that a CD typically can hold about 77 minutes of songs.

Click on the playlist when you are done adding songs to it that you want on your CD.

Click "Burn Disc" button in the lower right corner of the iTunes interface.

Insert your blank CD. Wait until the songs are burned to the CD.

Click the eject icon next to the CD selection in the left column. Your CD will eject from your iMac.
