How to Get Rid of Spam on My Computer
Spam may not sound menacing. To many people who get some spam and even to those who really hate it, they may not understand the drag spam puts on computers and people's time. Spam is almost impossible to eliminate from coming back, but getting rid of spam that you have on your computer is easy enough. Slowing down the rate of incoming spam can be achieved with some work.

Delete it. Spam is nothing more than unwanted email. Select the email in question and click "Delete." You may have to choose "File" and then "Compress Folders" to make sure it is totally gone, or you can check in your Trash folder and delete it from there.

Look in your email reader to see if you can apply filters (or rules). Filters let you choose keywords or email addresses and block certain emails to prevent spam. Every email reader has the filters located in different places.

Change emails, and don't give your new email out. Changing your email may also prevent spam, at least for a time. Avoid making your email address public by keeping it off of web pages and not giving it out to stores and businesses. This will help prevent future spam.
