How to Lock Channel on Astro

Astro All Asia Networks provides subscription television service to customers throughout Malaysia. Astro allows viewers to watch movies, sports and programs from several countries around the world. If you’re concerned about what your kids are watching and wish to prevent or minimize their exposure to violent or offensive content, Astro gives you the option to block access to as many channels as you want. You'll need your PIN to lock and unlock these channels.

Instructions

1. Press “Menu” on your remote control. Select “List of Services” by using the up/down arrow button to highlight it then press “OK.”

2. Scroll down to the channel you want to lock using the up/down arrow button. Press “OK” to lock the selected channel.

3. Enter your four-digit PIN in the box provided then press “OK” to confirm your selection. You should see a lock icon next to the channel.

4. Press “Menu” twice to exit.

Tips & Warnings

• If you haven’t set your PIN, press “Menu” then highlight “Options” and press “OK.” Highlight “Set PIN” and press “OK.” Enter the default PIN first then enter your new PIN. Press “OK” twice to set your new PIN then press “Menu” twice to exit.

• If you want to unlock the channel, navigate to the “List of Services” menu then select the channel and enter your four-digit PIN. The lock icon next to the channel will disappear.
