How to Remove an Alternator on a 2000 Dodge Intrepid
Removing the alternator from your 2000 Dodge Intrepid allows you to bench-test it or replace it if it is defective. The alternator charges the battery in your car but it also provides power to the ignition system and other electrical components. If it fails, you may end up with a dead battery or stranded on the side of the road with no power to the ignition. If you suspect the alternator is defective, remove it and have it tested immediately.
