How to Kick Someone Out of a Chat Room

Block users from a chat room.

A chat room is supposed to be a place where people participate in discussions. No matter what type of rules are set forth for chat rooms, if they are not followed, the user experiences of everyone else in the chat room will not be as good as they could be. To make sure that the chat rooms are safe for all users, it is important to block some people from using the chat room. You can only block a person from a chat room if you are a moderator or administrator of that chat room. Otherwise, you have to get an administrator to do it for you.

Instructions

Block by Username

1. Click on "Moderator Functions."

2. Click on "Block Users."

3. Type in the name of the user you would like to block and click "Block."

Block by IP Address

1. Click on "Moderator Functions."

2. Click on "Block User."

3. Select "Block by IP" and enter the IP address of the user you would like to block.
