Instructions

    • 1

Remove the cap from the ornament. Pour glue inside the ornament and swirl it around inside until the ornament is fully coated. Pour only a small bit at a time.

    • 2

Allow the ornament to dry cap-side up. This will take up to a couple of hours.

    • 3

Apply two strips of double-sided tape to the outside of the ornament perpendicular to each other. This will split the ornament into quarters. Pour the glitter, either one color or a mixture of colors, into your small bowl.

    • 4

Remove any paper that might be on the tape so the adhesive is exposed. Press the ball into the glitter bowl so the tape gets completely covered with glitter.

    • 5

Make glue dots or a glue scallop design on either side of the glittered strips. Hold the ornament over another glitter-filled bowl while pinching up glitter in your fingers and sprinkling it on to the glue. Do this until the glitter covers the glue completely.

    • 6

Allow to dry. Replace the cap onto the ornament. Cut a length of ribbon, string it through the cap and tie it so that you can hang the ornament.

Tips & Warnings

  • Another simple way to decorate glass ornaments is to fill them with tinsel, feathers, glitter or a combination of all three.
