How to Remove the Window Winder Off a 1998 Dodge Neon
If you need to remove the door panel, or replace a damaged window winder handle, you have to get it off the door first. The window winder, or crank as its commonly called, converts your cranking to the window regulator, which in turn move the window up or down, depending on which way you turn the crank. The knob on the end of the crank breaks off easily, making it hard to turn the crank. If this happens, you can pick up a new crank at the Dodge dealer and have it replaced in matter of minutes.

Push the clip off the stud using the pocket screwdriver.

Pry the crank off the stud carefully, using the standard screwdriver. Make sure you don’t poke a hole in the door panel with the tip of the screwdriver.
