Instructions

    • 1

Research different websites that allow you to design an interactive nursery for free. An example of such a site is http://www.huggieshappybaby.com/tools/vr.aspx.

    • 2

Enter your nursery measurements to the nursery designer program if you have them. Otherwise, just select one of the default nurseries to work with.

    • 3

Browse through the various furniture models available in the program. Select the preferred style of things like cribs, dressers, changing tables, etc. Choose which color/shade of wood/material you'd like each piece of furniture to be, as well as if the floor is hardwood or carpeted.

    • 4

Select from a wide variety of colors and patterns to apply to curtains, walls, crib bedding, and even area rugs. If you have a particular theme in mind, try to correspond all the colors to pull it together. For example, if you wanted a Princess theme, stick to colors like pink, white, and purple. Ocean themes look great with blues, greens, and yellows, and Zoo themes look great with brown, dark green, and white.

Add any available extra accessories to the room to add personal touches, such as photo frames on the walls or letters spelling out the baby's name on the wall.
