How To Use Electric Curlers To Increase Volume

1. Thoroughly wash and dry your hair. It is best to style your hair when it's clean to prevent build-up from your hair on the curlers. Comb your hair out with a wide-toothed brush, so that it's easy to apply the curlers.

2. Read the directions on the package your electric curlers came in to find out how long to heat them up. Heat up the electric curlers.

3. Comb out the section of hair to curl, and rub some heat-protective serum on it. This will protect each section of hair you curl from damage and breakage due to the heat.

4. Roll each section of hair tightly with the curlers, starting at the front of your hair and winding up. The wide-barrel curlers will give your hair a lot of volume and lift.

5. Clip each curler with a hair clip to hold the curl, and spray some volume-enhancing hairspray on it while it sets. Wait 5 to 10 minutes for the curlers to set.
