How to Remove Feces From Carpeting
Finding feces on your carpet doesn't mean that it is time to change the carpeting in your home. Instead, you can clean the feces and treat the area to minimize the risk of staining. As is the case with most accidents that occur on carpeting, time is of the essence, so the feces must be removed as soon as possible after the accident. Does this Spark an idea?

Remove solid fecal matter from the carpeting using a rubber spatula. Wear gloves while doing this to minimize the risk of getting the fecal matter on your hands.

Vacuum the affected area to remove any solid bits of feces that are still in the carpet.

Dampen the area using plain water to dilute any liquid fecal material that seeped into the carpet. Take care not to add too much water, as using a lot of water will cause the water and liquid fecal material to seep into the carpet pad.

Place a clean white towel on the area. Stand on the towel or use a heavy object to press the towel into the affected area to get as much water out of the area as possible.

Spritz the area with club soda. Blot the area using clean paper towels to get the club soda into the carpet and remove the stain.

Use a wet/dry vacuum to vacuum the area.

Cover the area with baking soda once the area is dry. This will help to remove any pheromones that are in the carpeting. Leave the baking soda on the area for two hours then vacuum up.

Spray plain white vinegar onto the area and allow it to dry. This will help to minimize the risk of the area starting to smell as a result of the feces.

If you are cleaning up animal feces, don't let the animal see you clean up the fecal matter. In the wild, the weakest member of the pack is responsible for cleaning up after the rest of the pack. As such, if your animal sees you cleaning up its mess, it will think that it is dominant over you.
