How to Get Rid of Red Checks in Email Attachments

If you have email, you have probably gotten attachments before. If you notice that some of them have red checks, this could be for a variety of reasons. If you would like to get rid of the red checks, you'll need to explore several steps until you find the reasons for the check and until you can get rid of them.

Instructions

1. Disable your virus check program, because usually the red checks indicate that the attachment has been scanned by the program and that it is not a threat. A red X, however, usually means it is a threat. If you disable your virus check program, you won't see the red checks.

2. Ask the send if the red checks were sent on purpose, and if so, ask them to not send red checks in attachments anymore. They could also be part of the sender's virus protection program.

3. Click on the red check. If you can click or right click on it and highlight it, you can probably delete it.
