How to Email an AT&T Wireless Phone
You can send messages to an AT&T wireless phone using your normal email account. It's as easy as sending an email to any other email address and is free (although text messaging rates apply for the recipient).

Sign into your email account.

Click "Compose" or "Send" to enter the "Write Email" page.

Type the AT&T wireless phone number in the "To" text box. The numbers should run together without any dashes or spaces (i.e. 9191919191).

Enter the phrase "@txt.att.net" after the number, without any space between the phrase and the number (i.e. 9191919191@txt.att.net).

Type your email message in the "Compose" box.

Click "Send" to email the message to the AT&T wireless phone.

Tips & Warnings
There is a 160 character limit on AT&T wireless phones. If your email is longer than 160 characters, the entire email will be sent to the phone as more than one text message.
