How to Find the Best Job for My Personality
Think about the job you have now and ask yourself whether you see yourself working in that same job, or even in that same field, for the next ten or fifteen years. If your answer is yes, then likely you have found a job that makes you happy and it is probably suited to your personality. If you answered no, then you have some soul searching to do. Try to find a job that best suits your personality; you will be happy in that job and your quality of life will improve. To find the best job for your personality, use a resource such as a personality test that matches your personality to various jobs.

1
Log on to the Internet and visit a website that offers a free personality test aimed at matching your personality with a job. Examples include careerpath.com and careerkey.org.
-
2
Take the personality test over the Internet. Answer each question with complete honesty; the best results will come from truthful answers.
-
-
3
Click the "Submit" button and read your results. The test will show you which careers are best suited for your personality based on the answers you provided. Go with your "gut" feeling and write down two or three of the suggestions to research later.
-
4
Repeat Steps 1 through 3, this time visiting a different career site and taking a different personality test. Compare the results with those of your first test. Note the jobs that come up in multiple results; these will likely be the best jobs for your personality.
-
5
Research the jobs for which you feel best suited and the jobs that appeared in multiple results from the personality tests. Use an Internet resource such as bls.gov (the Bureau of Labor and Statistics) or call a company in that career field and speak with a manager about the job.
