Cell phones have become increasingly popular due to cheap rate plans and cell phones. Verizon Wireless is now the largest cellular provider in the Unites States. If you are one of the 91 million Verizon subscribers, you may own a LG phone. Regardless of which phone you have, you can easily have your phone number changed in a matter of minutes.

Instructions

1. Call Verizon Wireless' customer service, from a landline phone. You can reach the customer service by dialing 1-800-922-0204, seven days a week from 6 am to 11 pm, according to Verizon Wireless. You will be asked to enter your cellular telephone number in order to be connected to a service representative.

2. Provide the security information requested by the customer service representative. You will be asked for your full name, and likely be asked for the last four digits of your Social Security Number and mailing address.

3. Request a phone number change once you have provided the security information. The whole process only takes a matter of minutes. Be sure you have your cell phone handy during the process because you will need to provide serial numbers from the phone.

4. Choose the number you wish to obtain. Most of the time you will be given a choice of a few phone numbers, allowing you to be the final say in what number you receive.

5. Complete the call with the customer service representative and then make a trail call from you cell phone. Call your home phone, or a friend, who can verify your new number is showing up on the caller-id.

• Write your new cell phone number down, so that you don't forget it. Be sure to let friends and family know that you have a new number.

• The cost of changing your phone number is approximately $15. This is a one-ime fee which you should expect on your next cellular bill.
