How Do I Know When My Verizon Mobile Plan Contract Is Ending?

How Do I Know When My Verizon Mobile Plan Contract Is Ending? thumbnail
Verizon provides service for mobile phones.

When you initially sign up for service with the Verizon Wireless mobile phone provider, you lock yourself into an extended contract. This means you legally agree to pay a certain amount of money per month for services rendered at a specific price. If you want to upgrade to another carrier and leave Verizon altogether, you're going to have to check and see when your existing contract is ending.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your computer's web browser. Go to the online Verizon Wireless account log in website.

    • 2

Type your user ID and password into the boxes you see on screen and click "Sign In." This will take you to your account information page.

    • 3

Click the "My Services" tab on your Verizon account page. Then, click on the listing for your cellular telephone. The date your contract ends will be listed on this page.

    • 4

Use the customer service support number to call a Verizon Wireless customer support representative. If you cannot locate the end-date of your contract on your bill, give the customer support representative your account number (listed on the top of the bill); the representative will be able to tell you.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your contract is coming to an end within the next few months, Verizon will include the date your contract is up on your monthly bill. Locate your latest Verizon Wireless monthly billing statement. Your paper bill is delivered to your home monthly, letting you know how much you owe and how much service that payment will cover. Look towards the bottom of your monthly billing statement. The total length of your contract, including the date you signed up and the date the contract ends, is listed on the statement.
