How to Connect to a Wireless Router in Windows 2000 Pro
Just as is possible with all other versions of the Windows operating system, you can connect to the wireless network being broadcast by a router using Windows 2000 Professional. Windows 2000 has a series of networking tools built right into its code that allows you to both identify and connect to any wireless router as long as your computer is physically within its broadcasting range.

If the name of the network did not have an icon next to it indicating that it was password protected, you will be connected automatically. If it did have an icon next to it indicating that it was password protected, enter that password into the box you see on your monitor. Then, click "Connect" again and you should be connected.
