The Lexmark X4530 is a multifunction inkjet printer that can print in full color, straight black, or gray scale. It can print up to 24 pages per minute on the lowest-quality setting. Gray-scale printing uses various shades of gray. Only the black ink cartridge is used for gray-scale printing. Once the X4530 is set up to print in gray scale, it will continue to print all print jobs in that format until the gray-scale printing option is turned off.
