How do I Print in Gray on Lexmark X4530?

Gray-scale printing uses shades of gray.

The Lexmark X4530 is a multifunction inkjet printer that can print in full color, straight black, or gray scale. It can print up to 24 pages per minute on the lowest-quality setting. Gray-scale printing uses various shades of gray. Only the black ink cartridge is used for gray-scale printing. Once the X4530 is set up to print in gray scale, it will continue to print all print jobs in that format until the gray-scale printing option is turned off.

Instructions

1. Turn the X4530 printer on. Press the "Start" button. Select "Control Panel."

2. Click the "Printers" icon. Right click the "Lexmark X4530" icon. Select "Properties."

3. Click the entry called "Print in Grayscale." Click the "Apply" button to save the changes. Click "OK" to exit the printer-properties window.

4. Open the image or document you wish to print in gray. Print the item as you normally would. The X4530 prints it in gray-scale format.
