How to Remove Joke-Bluescreen.C From a Computer
Joke-Bluescreen.C is a spyware computer virus that mimics the dreaded Blue Screen of Death. The Blue Screen of Death generally appears on a computer when the unit has suffered a major virus attack that has trashed the operating system and programs so badly that they are virtually unrecoverable. Though the Joke-Bluescreen.C virus attacks a computer's startup programs and applications like other viruses, when a Joke-Bluescreen appears, it doesn't mean that your computer is near death. Getting rid of Joke-Bluescreen.C simply requires a sufficient scrubbing of the computer's hard drive and registry.

Run Antivirus Software

Download antivirus software to your computer if you do not already have one installed. A selection of antivirus programs is available for download at CNET. Install the antivirus software to your system.

Open the antivirus software on our computer. To open the antivirus software, double-click the software icon in the taskbar.

Click the "Scan" or "Run" button in the main screen of the antivirus software to begin scanning your computer for Joke-Bluescreen.C virus files. If the program that you are using gives an option of which drives to scan on the system, make sure the "All Drives" option is selected to scan the entire computer system.

Select the "Delete" option in the antivirus program once the software is done scanning. All files that the antivirus software uncovered on your system are permanently deleted.

Open the computer's registry editor by going to the "Start" menu and clicking "Run." When the "Run" window opens, type in "regedit" and press "Enter."

Go to the "Edit" menu and choose the "Find" option. Enter "joke-bluescreen" in the provided box and press "Enter."

Right-click the registry key that appears as highlighted in the right pane of the registry editor. Select "Delete" from the menu that appears to remove the Joke-Bluescreen.C file.

Return to the "Find" feature and enter "joke-bluescreen" again. Delete the highlighted key in the right pane of the editor. Keep finding and deleting Joke-Bluescreen.C files until the "Find" feature ceases to find any further files.

Close the registry editor and go to the "Start" menu. Select "Control Panel." Choose "Internet Options" from the "Control Panel," select "General" and press the "Delete" buttons that appear under the "Browsing History," "Cookies," "History" and "Temporary Internet Files" sections. Restart the computer. The changes should go into effect and Joke-Bluescreen.C should be removed from your computer.
