Instructions

    • 1

Clean the area thoroughly before installing new baseboards. Sweep out the corner where the wall meets the floor and wipe away any dirt from the wall itself.

    • 2

Measure out the length of baseboard you will need, up to 6 feet. If more than 6 feet are required, work in 6-foot segments. Unroll the baseboard material and remove the protective backing.

    • 3

Starting in the corner, press the rubber baseboard onto the wall. Press firmly and evenly as you move at a slow and even pace down the length of the wall, pressing the baseboard into place. This will ensure a straight and even baseboard.

    • 4

Cut the vinyl at the corners with a utility knife. You can also simply press the material into the corner and continue around the other wall until the 6-foot segment runs out, although this may leave a slightly rounded corner.

    • 5

Apply a dab of carpenter's glue to secure any sections that don't stick to the wall properly.
