How to Install Comcast Phone & Internet

Comcast offers high-speed Internet access, phone service and cable television. It only takes following a few simple steps to install the company's phone and Internet services.

Instructions

1. Contact Comcast to see what services are available in your location. Go online (there is a link in the References section) or call 1-800-COMCAST. Inquire whether phone and Internet services are available individually or as a bundle package.

2. Determine what type of services you desire. There are multiple choices for phone service, including unlimited long distance and a bevy of features. High-speed Internet access also varies with speed and price. Choose the services (or bundle) that meets your needs and budget.

3. Place an order. Contact Comcast by calling or going online. Some services may require a deposit.

4. Set up an appointment at a date and time that is convenient for you. Talk to your Comcast representative to discuss when an installation specialist is available.

5. Install additional equipment as necessary. Comcast may not provide all of the equipment needed to use its services. You'll likely need a telephone, and you may need ethernet cables and/or a router to use the Internet service. Talk with your Comcast representative to find out what equipment you need.
