How to Wrap a Christmas Tree
When shopping for a Christmas tree, it is important to see the full tree to make sure the height and width will fit the desired space in your home. Once chosen, it is smart to wrap the tree in plastic netting so it will be easy to load in the back of or on top of your vehicle. The net also keeps the branches from breaking while carrying the tree inside and it keeps the pine needles from dropping onto the floor. Wrapping the tree is a simple task that requires a tree baler. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Select a Christmas tree that fits the designated space in your house. Double check the height, considering any decorations that will top the tree, such as a star or a bow. Consider the circumference of a tree, especially if the tree will go in a corner. Once a tree is selected, wrap it with plastic netting so it remains intact until it's put in place. The best way to do this is with a tree baler, which should be available at most Christmas tree lots.

2
Place the Christmas tree, top first, in the opening of the tree baler previously loaded with plastic wrapping net. Push the tree through the tree baler with a steady motion, making sure the netting is uniformly wrapping the tree. Make sure no branches are getting bent in the process. Have a second person receive the tree at the other end unless the tree baler has a rack in place to catch the tree.

Cut the plastic net, once the tree has gone through the baler, and tie it tightly with a rope. The tree should be packed in a tight bundle, making it easy to handle. Load the wrapped tree in your car and take it home.

Tips & Warnings
Choose a lot that has a tree baler.
You can take unwrapped trees to a nursery that has a tree baler available for public use.
Place the tree trunk in a tree stand before unwrapping it. This makes the tree easier to move. Once the tree is unwrapped, the branches will be loose and it will take up more space.
Keep the used tree netting away from the reach of children.
