How to End a Personal Goal Statement
A personal goal statement is a declaration of something you want to work toward achieving in your life. Personal goals can involve many things, including enrichment in family life, spiritual growth, career growth and personal achievement. They are often built on the things you value the most in life. Individuals create personal goal statements to help guide them as they make improvements and changes in their lives. You should end your personal goal statement with a plan of action for accomplishing those goals.

1
End your personal statement with a list of many actions you can take to help realize the goals outlined in your personal statement. For example, if you are a business owner whose personal goal statement is, “I will obtain three additional business clients,” ways you could accomplish this might include putting an email opt-in box on your website and offering people who sign up a free ebook, or attending one networking event a month.

Incorporate a time frame at the end of your personal statement. For example, you might say, “I will obtain three additional business clients in four months.” Also assign a time frame to each action you plan to do to achieve your personal goal statement. Your time frames should be specific and realistic.

Determine a way you will measure whether you were successful at accomplishing your personal goal statement and include it at the end of your statement. For example, “I will obtain three additional business clients in fourth months. I will measure my success during month four, by counting how many additional customers I've obtained for my business and how.”

After you have ended your personal statement, review it to ensure that it outlines goals that are specific, measurable, attainable and timely. Make sure your goals are compatible with your values, lifestyle and future growth. Set a time to review your goals to track your progress. Share your progress with a business partner or an accountability partner to ensure you stay focused on accomplishing your personal goal statement.
