How to Fix the Search Bar in Firefox 3.0

Mozilla Firefox is a Web browser that allows you to surf the Internet. Mozilla Firefox offers users a wide ranges of features, including a favorites menu, easy browsing, add-on capabilities and a built-in search engine bar. The search bar offers you the ability to type in a topic and click "Search" without having to first go to a search engine. You can customize the search bar to your favorite search engine for optimum results.

      Open Firefox 3.0 by double-clicking on the desktop icon or by going to "Start," "Programs" and "Mozilla Firefox."

      Locate the search bar on the browser. The search bar is located on the top right-hand side of the screen, to the right of the address bar.

      Click on the small down arrow on the left side of the search bar. This will bring up a list of search engine providers. Click on "Manage Search Engines" to load the options box.

      Customize the search bar to the appropriate settings, or click "Restore defaults" to bring back the original settings. Click "OK" when finished. Your changes will take place immediately; there is no need to restart the browser.
