How to Export an Outlook Calendar to Other Programs

You may wish to share your Outlook Calendar with others. Fortunately, Outlook 2007 enables you to export your Outlook Calendar as an .ics file, a format compatible with most, if not all, calendar programs.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Outlook, and then choose a calendar in the Calendar section. It will come into active view.

    • 2

Click on “File,” select “Save As,” and then enter a name for your calendar in the “File name” field. If you would like to customize the calendar, select “More Options,” and then select a date range from the “Date range” field or select “Specify dates” to enter specific dates. Select the amount of detail you would like displayed on your calendar by choosing an option from the “Detail” list.

    • 3

Select “Ok,” and then click on “Save.” Your Outlook Calendar is now an .ics file. Go to the program you would like to import your Outlook Calendar to, and open it from the folder where you saved it.
