How to Offload Recorded TV From a DVR
Even the largest memory on a digital video recorder (DVR) will fill up eventually, making it necessary either to erase some of the recorded programming or offload content to another digital device. Connecting to a DVD recorder is the answer. A DVD recorder can burn recorded TV to a recordable disc for a long-lasting copy of the content so programs can be erased from the DVR, freeing up space to record more television programming. The connection takes only a few minutes with standard AV cables. The length of time for the offload depends on the length of the programming.

Tips & Warnings
Be sure to finalize the DVD before removing the disc. The finalization procedure encodes the disc so it can be played on other components. If the DVD recorder model does not finalize automatically, press the "Menu" button and go to the recording section to select "Finalize" for the disc.
Unplug the components from the electricity while connecting the AV cables.
