How to Get Rid of Unwanted Internet Radio

If you have Internet radio that you do not want, it means one of two things. You either have a website from an Internet radio station playing on your computer, or you have an Internet radio program that you have downloaded that goes along with a specific website. It is easy to get rid of both of these types of Internet radio.

Instructions

  1. Playing on your Computer

    • 1

Close the open window that is playing an Internet radio station by clicking on the red "X" in the upper right-hand corner.

    • 2

Block radio websites from being accessible. Go to the "Tools" bar in your browser. Click on "Tools," then "Security" or "Privacy Settings," depending on what browser you are using.

    • 3

Navigate through the "Security" or "Privacy Settings" section until you find the section for "Blocked Internet Sites." Enter the Internet radio website addresses to prevent them being accessed again.

    Downloaded Program

    • 4

Go to your "Start" menu and choose the "My Computer" icon to bring up that folder.

    • 5

Click "Add/Remove Programs" found in the left-hand corner of this folder.

    • 6

Scroll through the program list until you find the Internet radio programs that you want to remove. Click on those programs and select "Remove."

    • 7

Follow that program's specific series of removal pages that are presented to complete the deletion.
