Instructions
-
1
Cut 3" circles from the fabric, two for each fortune cookie.
-
2
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the fusible interfacing to bond two circles, wrong sides together. The two fabric circles do not have to be the same material, but should be a pleasing combination.
-
-
3
Fold each bonded fabric circle in half. Hold the fabric with the folded edge closest to you and use a small dab of fabric glue on the opposite rounded edges to bond the fortune cookie together. Use a clothespin to hold the edges in place until the glue dries.
-
4
Create "fortunes" by handwriting in pen one saying per small strip of paper.
-
5
When the fabric glue is dry, insert a "fortune" paper slip into the cookie, then ease and shape the fabric into a slight cylindrical shape, bringing the two corners of the folded edge together to create the traditional fortune cookie shape. Use a dab of fabric glue to hold the corners together, again securing with a clothespin until the glue is dry.
