How to Get Rid of U3 Launch Software From a Sandisk Flash Drive

A lot of people only use a flash drive as extra storage or supplemental computer memory. In this case, the U3 Launchpad can annoy you. Every time you insert the flash drive, the Launchpad automatically starts. SanDisk includes an uninstaller within their U3 flash drives to help you remove the software.

Instructions

      Insert the SanDisk flash drive into a USB port on your computer.

      Click on the "U3" button on the bar next to the time display at the bottom right of the screen.

      Select "Settings", then click on "U3 Launchpad Settings".

      Click on "Uninstall" on the left side of the window, and then select the "Uninstall U3 Launchpad" button that appears.

      Click "Next".

      Choose "Yes" to restore the files back onto the flash drive after the uninstallation process or "No" to remove all the files on the flash drive.

      Select "Format" to uninstall the "U3 Launchpad".
