How to Print Door Hangers
Door hangers are a relatively inexpensive and effective marketing tool. They are a good way to reach a group of customers in a particular location. Door hangers can be simple single color designs or glossy multicolored displays. Choose a template. You can download door hanger templates to be used with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Publisher from the Microsoft website. You can also find free blank templates on sites such as kids.creativity.com. Download the template to your computer and using Word or Publisher or another desktop publishing program to design a custom door hanger.

Design your door hanger. Decide what you want to say on your door hanger. Keep in mind that space is limited, especially if a logo or pictures are going to be included. Vital information such as company name, address, contact information and services offered should be included on the door hanger. Also take care in selecting colors for your door hanger. Door hangers with a lot of colors are not only expensive to print, they can take away from the marketing message. Two or three colors are sufficient.

Tips & Warnings
If you are planning to print a large number of door hangers (100 or more) consider having a printing company do it for you. The expense of paper, ink and wear and tear on your printer will most likely be more than the cost of having the door hanger printed and shipped to you.
If you print the door hangers yourself, be sure to use waterproof ink or buy plastic baggies for the flyers. If you don't protect the hangers from the elements, you run the risk of wasting time and money.
