How to Remove a Steering Rack on a Ford
The steering system in a Ford vehicle is an integral part of the vehicle; if it starts to go out, you may experience problems such as irregular steering, tight turning or worse, complete failure of the unit. The fix is replacing the steering rack, which can be done in a few hours. In this case, the project vehicle is a 2004 Ford F-250 pickup, but the process is similar for other vehicles as well.

Lift up the front of the vehicle using the jack and secure it on jack stands. Make sure the vehicle is completely secure on the jack stands before you crawl underneath it.
