How to Take Both Flaxseed & Fish Oil Supplements

Flaxseed is a flowering plant that can be found growing in the western prairies of Canada. Flaxseeds contain omega 3 EPA and DHA fatty acids, which are required by the body for optimum health. Flaxseeds can be ground into a powder and taken as a supplement by sprinkling the powder into food or drinks. Flaxseed oil is another form of omega 3 fatty acids used for nutritional purposes. The oil is extracted from the flaxseed and used for cooking or made into dietary supplements. Fish oil is a supplement that contains omega 3 ALA fatty acids. Taking flaxseed or flaxseed oil in combination with fish oil supplements will help the body to get all the required fatty acids needed to stay healthy.
