How to Kill Mithril Dragons in RuneScape
Mithril dragons are among the most dangerous creatures in RuneScape. At level 304, they are the strongest dragons in the game. Despite this danger, you may be assigned to kill up to 15 of them as a Slayer task. Proper preparation is essential to survive an encounter with one of these creatures. As a reward, they have very valuable loot they can drop.

Remove an item from your bank that can provide protection against dragon fire breath. This could be an anti-dragon shield, a dragonfire shield or a super antifire potion. You should bring a stab weapon, such as a leaf-bladed sword or a zamorak spear. Prayer potions will be essential, along with attack-boosting potions. If you have the appropriate level in summoning, you should also bring a healing familiar, such as a unicorn stallion. Otherwise, you should bring lots of food.

Head over to the barbarian training area and jump into the whirlpool at the end of the dock there. You will emerge in the Ancient Cavern. Run a short distance east and you will see stairs leading upward. The mithril dragons are up those stairs.

Turn on protection against melee prayer before attacking a mithril dragon. Drink your boosting potions, and summon your familiar right away. At close range, with protection against melee and dragon breath, you will only be taking occasional magic damage. Your food or healer should make up for any damage you take.
