How to Log in to a Westell Wirespeed DSL Modem
When you sign up with a DSL Internet service provider, they will give you a DSL modem to access their network. You will need to log in to the modem before it will properly connect to the network and thus allow you Internet access.

Connect the DSL modem to the computer. Refer to the manual for instructions. Turn the modem on when connected.

Open your web browser. If your browser automatically refers you to the login screen of the modem, then skip to Step 4.

Enter the IP address associated with your DSL modem into the address field of your web browser. This address is typically 192.168.1.1 for modems. If this doesn't work, then contact your provider's technical support team for the correct address.

Enter the username and password provided by your ISP. This is usually selected when initiating the account. You should see a notice saying you are now connected to the Internet. You will also be logged into the modem.

Store your password in a safe place in case you forget it.
If something should happen to the modem, use the reset button to reset the modem. If your modem does not have a reset button, unplug the modem and plug it back in.
