For those who live in areas with wireless broadband access, a card can be purchased from many cell phone providers to allow wireless access to the Internet.

Contact a satellite Internet providers such as WildBlue.com, RoadRunner.com or Hughesnet.com and compare rates in your area. You will have to sign a contract, usually for at least one year, with the provider you choose.

Have the dish and modem installed and connected to a wireless router. Some satellite companies provide wireless modems for an extra change --- for a single computer, you will not need a router.
