Keep your clean drinking glasses accessible, and free of chips and cracks, by storing them properly. Select a cupboard that is convenient so you can easily get them out and put them away.
Things You'll Need
- Damp cloth
- Drinking glasses
Select a cupboard near the sink, the refrigerator and the dishwasher, if you have a dishwasher. Avoid cupboards that are too high, because that would make the glasses harder to reach.
Use a damp cloth to clean the cupboard shelf before storing the drinking glasses there.
Place drinking glasses on the shelves upside down. This keeps the insides of the glasses clean. Place glasses on the shelves in one layer without stacking them. Stacked glasses often become chipped or cracked.
Tips & Warnings
- If you have stacked glasses that are stuck together, pull them apart by placing a few ice cubes in the top glass and quickly dipping the bottom glass in warm water. The temperature contrast will allow you to pull them apart.
