How to Buy Corporate Visa Gift Cards
A Visa gift card is similar to a prepaid card that is honored in establishments that accept Visa or Visa Debit transactions. The amount on the card is set by the person or company who purchased the gift card. Companies often use corporate Visa gift cards as a means of rewarding their employees and business partners. However, Visa gift cards are not the same as Visa Incentive cards. Incentive cards are reloadable, whereas gift cards only have fixed amount set.

Select a Visa gift card provider. Some banking institutions like Chase and BCU offer this product to their existing customers. They set a minimum number of gift cards to be ordered and charge a batch processing fee if the quantity is below minimum. Order quantity and batch processing fees vary from bank to bank. Some providers accommodate per-unit gift card purchases. These providers, such as giftcards.com or deluxe-card.com, offer personalized gift cards services as well.

Complete the order information form for your selected provider. If the provider is a bank, you are requested to supply them a copy of your company logo, company information and Tax Identification Number (orders are not processed without the TIN), company name (as you would like it to appear on the card) and message. For providers like giftcards.com or deluxe-card.com, you just need to follow the online process, which includes placing the order quantity, uploading a photo and paying the transaction through a credit card.

Settle the payment for the cards and provide information on delivery instructions.

If you've chosen a bank as a provider and intend to distribute the gift cards by volume on a specific day, place the orders for the gift cards at least two months before the planned distribution date. This is because it takes around two weeks lead time to proof the layout. Once the layout has been approved, another two weeks is estimated for setting up the card manufacturing process. Then it takes around six to ten working days from the time payment is made to the time the cards are delivered.

Before you distribute the gift card, make sure to include the reference materials that the recipient may need in order to use the card. This is most important if the gift card had a PIN set on to it to activate the card.

Tips & Warnings
Gift cards have an expiration date of two years following the month issued. It may be advisable not to set your Corporate Visa gift card for domestic use only if you intend to distribute them to business partners who either travel or are stationed overseas.
If you intend to give the Visa Gift Card to a minor who has minimum card experience, you may want to review the materials together or advise the minor's parents and give them the materials.
